Tournament Rules


Hitless Run Rules (DS1-3, Bloodborne)

Universal Rules:
  • Magic is banned unless the runner is using a pure spell build (no weapons)
  • Hidden body type spells are banned
  • Run is complete when any% bosses are defeated
  • Environmental damage from swamps (e.g. poison) do not count as hits.
  • Hits from player triggered traps are counted (including the poison statues in DS2)
  • Chain damage (example when an enemy hits you multiple times) count as one hit per life drop
  • Staggers count as hits
  • Deaths count as a hit, unless the death was a one-shot, in which case it would be a single hit penalty
  • Build-up effects (frenzy, poison, bleed, etc.) don’t count as hits unless they proc
  • No summons
  • No force quits/quit outs/glitches/out-of-bounds
  • Maximum run time: 3 hours
  • Maximum hits: 6

Game Specific Rules:
  • DS1 – save quitting at the crow's nest & to acquire FAP ring (Lautrec ledge) is allowed
  • DS2 – homeward spell allowed (all builds)
  • DS3 – storyteller staff is banned, bows are banned, jailer damage counts as one hit per occurrence, "Spook" spell is allowed
  • BB – “Chain damage” hits, as referenced above, applies to Shadows of Yharnam fire breath attack, Bloodstarved Beast Grab attack, Ebrietas’ aura, and frenzy/poison. If any of these occur, it’s one hit per occurrence.
  • Sekiro – 5-minute IGT penalty for each (purchased) bead not acquired.

Resets:
  • DS1 – 3 prior to the player safely acquiring the red tearstone ring
  • DS2 – 3 prior to Dragonrider’s defeat (must be first boss attempted, otherwise no resets)
  • DS3 – 3 prior to second boss attempted
  • BB – 3 prior to Father Gascoigne’s defeat (not counted until after player reaches the Hunter’s Dream, aka ladder%)
  • Sekiro – 3 tutorial resets

Match Scoring:
  • Hitless Runs (DS1-3, Bloodborne)---Players will be ranked by least amount of hits taken. In the event of a tie, the player with the faster in-game time (IGT) wins.
  • Sekiro---Players will be ranked by fastest IGT.
